sunstone.
Is a fragment of a much larger field stone (boulder train) discovered in
2002. Was polished in the winter of 2003.
It is rare in that it is a rare purple sunstone. Sabina attributes
the purple color to inclusions of iron, possibly hematite or ilmenite.
This gem tumbled once a second for 5 1/2 weeks, or 3,250,000
revolutions using our polishing methods.
The mohs hardness is 6.5 out of 10; Specific gravity is 2.62 to 2.76
In gem mythology, like the Sun shining after a long winter, sunstone is said to elevate your mood when you are feeling down, bringing joy and happiness to surface.
It is said that it works on the 3rd eye and Solar Plexus chakras, but helps to "deep clean" all the other chakras as well. It is said to promote health, passion, protection, and sensuality.
